Part-Time Freelance Assistant – Help Share Japanese Craft
(Flexible Tasks | English + Team Support)
About the Role
Link Collective is a small Tokyo-based brand that shares traditional Japanese crafts—like furoshiki, artisan textiles, and homewares with audiences in Japan and abroad. We also collaborate with international designers to create original, cross-cultural designs that blend Japanese tradition with contemporary creativity.
As we prepare for showroom visits, and cultural workshops in our new place at NEUK in Shirogane Takanawa in Tokyo, we’re looking for someone who can help with light operations during quiet months (1–2 days/week), and offer more hands-on support during busy seasons or events.
Our current shipping operations are managed by an experienced freelancer, so we welcome someone who can assist and communicate well within a small, collaborative team.
Responsibilities (based on skills & availability)
Regular Tasks (1 day/week – hybrid: in-person + remote)

Assist with packing orders, preparing labels, and checking online sales

Communicate with our shipping freelancer for basic coordination

Handle simple English emails with international customers

Help draft and schedule Instagram posts (English/Japanese)

Support product stock updates and delivery tracking

Occasional in-person work at shared office in Shirokane-Takanawa may be required.
Event Periods (exhibitions, showroom visits, etc.)

Welcome international buyers and visitors (English required)

Provide simple explanations about our furoshiki and textiles and other items

Assist at cultural workshops (registration, setup, basic interpretation)
Who We’re Looking For

Able to communicate in English via email and conversation (translation experience a plus)

Friendly, patient, and enjoys interacting with people

Interested in design, crafts, and Japanese culture

Comfortable working in a small, flexible team

Willing to work extra hours during events or exhibitions

Notes |
Occasional translation, interpretation, and event support available for those interested. Once you're familiar with the brand and products, we may also invite you to help with researching potential overseas stockists (e.g. select shops, galleries, or concept stores), depending on your interests and skills. |

- 在庫確認や納品スケジュールの補佐
展示会・イベント期(出社あり)
- ショールームや展示会での来訪対応(英語対応含む)
- 製品説明や風呂敷の包み方案内(事前レクチャーあり)
- 英語資料の翻訳チェック、会場準備のサポート
- ワークショップ準備・受付・運営補助
