To Weave is to Speak.

Exhibition × Workshop

In May, textile artist Araki Kei brings her work to The Link Collective studio. Rooted in European tapestry tradition, her practice transforms the colours and emotions of everyday life into thread. Come and experience in the studio what textiles made slowly and by hand can do.

Kei Araki is a textile artist who weaves the colours and shapes of everyday life into fabric using the tsudzure-ori tapestry technique.

We start by looking at Araki's work together, then she guides you hands-on as you weave a small textile piece of your choice, a keychain or a coaster. Yours to take home.

During the exhibition period, Araki's work is on display at the studio. Some pieces are available to purchase.
